Darn it! I made a mistake!⁠
Or a million...⁠
⁠
It is completely normal to make mistakes in life, no matter what the journey is⁠
⁠
I quit my job and jumped in a joint business with a friend while still in school and in charge of supporting myself 😬⁠
⁠
I was so scared but the 🔥 fire, drive, and motivation outweighed my fears⁠
⁠
But I didn’t realize that in order to build something you need to do it for yourself ONLY. ⁠
⁠
Do you ever feel like sometimes it is easier to help others than help yourself? ⁠
⁠
I always relied on other people to need me, to ask me for help, because that was my number one motivator⁠
⁠
After a year of “banging my head on a wall” I realized that it was time to start loving, helping and doing things for myself as well as use my own happiness as my motivator⁠
⁠
When I love and believe in someone it suddenly became very hard for me to establish boundaries and say no. ⁠
⁠
I ended up burnt out, exhausted and felt used by everyone!⁠
⁠
Then I finally realized that I can be the one to provide myself with:⁠
⁠
-love⁠
-acceptance ⁠
-practice self-help ⁠
-believe in myself⁠
⁠
The problem was me, I was the one that was enabling it to continue, offering or accepting assignments that I knew weren’t going to benefit me...⁠
⁠
So now I strive every day to: ⁠
⁠
-set boundaries⁠
-to only take on mutually beneficial deals ⁠
-to respect myself⁠
⁠
Make sure you make room for the great things coming to you and avoid occupying all of your time with horrible, bad, decent or merely good deals. ⁠

You deserve the best, you just have to believe it.⁠

It is human nature to benchmark and compare where you stand in comparison to others.⁠

When you first start something, you are overflowing with ideas, energy, and enthusiasm....but as the excitement wears off, it is easy to start looking into what has worked for others on your same journey.⁠

...for most that leads to a downward spiral of insecurity, negative self-talk, and feelings of inadequacy. ⁠
⁠
So what do you do?⁠
⁠
You obviously need to work harder! If it worked for them, it must work for you too! ...right?!?⁠
⁠
Sure, until reality sets in and you start asking yourself;⁠
⁠
-I keep working my a*s off to get ahead, but still, NOTHING is happening?⁠
-What am I doing wrong?⁠
-What are they doing that I did not do? ⁠
-Why are they successful and I am not?⁠

Do you want to know what they did? ⁠

They stayed in their own lane and focused all of their attention on what they were trying to get done...⁠

Don't question yourself or your talent just because you are not in the same place as someone else is right now.⁠

It is NOT a race, YOU ARE EXACTLY WHERE YOU NEED TO BE RIGHT NOW!!⁠

There have been so many times in the past that I over judged, self-doubted and literally stalled myself by getting in my own damn way⁠

I kept asking myself:⁠

-Why am I always exhausted!?⁣⁠
-Why can’t I just be faster/ get more done!?⁣⁠
⁣⁠
And by being this hard to myself, I would be left feeling “paralyzed” and not able to get anything done at all⁠

What good has it ever brought me?⁠

-Have I gotten any more of my work done by acting this way!?⁣⁠
-Could I focus the energy I use to stress/ overthink into actually getting work done!?⁣⁠
- If I felt happier in my own life would I be able to be more efficient and productive!?⁣⁠

So why waste time, even just for another second on something that is not working towards your end goal? ⁠

Save up that energy to put it towards the FOCUS of being PRODUCTIVE over the right things instead of busy with all the wrong things!⁠

Start with the biggest task that only YOU can do and for the rest ask for help or don’t worry about them until the most important task is out of the way.⁠

Deep down we usually know exactly what is best for us and what we should be doing.⁠

The only reason why we are asking for advice in the first place is to get validation that we are right in thinking that.⁠

But what most don’t realize, is that if our own views aren’t universally shared, it doesn’t mean that they are not the right thing to do!⁠

People will give you their advice based on THEIR views, THEIR experiences, and THEIR fears.⁠
⁠
We each have individual perceptions of how we view each situation we are in, why would you trust someone else over your own instincts?⁠

It took me a long time to realize that there is a much easier way to be happy than what society thinks...⁠

...Yes, happiness is built by planning today to set ourselves up for a better future tomorrow. ⁠
⁠
So I worked hard, I never questioned it. ⁠
⁠
But even if I overloaded myself with work in the past, it never caught up to actually making me truly happy today. It was a dreaded endless cycle.⁠
⁠
“Happiness” is simply the collection of a series of happy experiences we gathered day-to-day over time. You simply need to gather as many as possible.⁠
⁠
If you keep pushing back doing what makes you happy, forget to take care of your mental state and denying yourself the rewards you long for, you won’t achieve happiness any faster, if at all.⁠
⁠
As a matter of fact, you might even waste year after year to then realize that if you had just taken the time to do what you wanted today, your life might have turned out a lot differently.⁠

Our time is not guaranteed, and no one owes us anything. ⁠

That is why I now choose to smile today and every day as much as I possibly can.⁠

It is essential to deal with these feelings as soon as you get them if not before they even come up. You must do whatever is necessary to maintain a healthy work-life balance if you want to make any sustainable change in the long run.⁠

In order to be able to go through with doing the things we want to do, we need to first understand how to plan for them.⁠

-Do you know the exact amount it would take to do it?⁠
-Do you know the exact time commitment it requires?⁠
-Do you understand what you need to do and what you might need to sacrifice in order to get it?⁠
⁠
When you do, you’ll be able to set up an action plan to actually make it happen. Don’t wait for things to fall from the sky, put in the effort and commit to yourself.⁠

Springtime is my favorite season, it is that time that calls for renewal, fresh air, and hope! 🌸⁠

But this year feels different for most, a lot of us might be feeling:⁠
⁠
- Stressed out mentally and/ or financially⁠
- Nervous about all the changes going on ⁠
- Afraid of what might happen ⁠
- Worried about not knowing when it will all go back to normal⁠
⁠
So what do we do?⁠
⁠
- We binge watch the news⁠
- We see either all kinds of conspiracies online⁠
- See people being completely selfish and oblivious to the current reality we are facing⁠
- We scroll through social just to see everyone venting and freaking out ⁠
⁠
How does that help us?⁠
⁠
It doesn't! We CANNOT control what people do around us, we cannot change things alone, we cannot make it go away. ⁠
⁠
BUT! ⁠
⁠
We DO have the power to control our thoughts, we DO have the power to play our part to help the situation, and we DO have the power to make the best of it. ⁠

- Limit the time you spend watching the news ⁠
- Establish boundaries with people if you are tired of always talking about it ⁠
- Create healthy habits that will help you in the long run⁠
